The very top section of your website, before you scroll, is the highest value real estate on your entire website and is often referred to as the “above the fold” section.
The phrase “above the fold” originated from newspapers and refers to the upper half of the front page which showcases an important news story. This section is the only thing you see when the paper is folded in a newsstand.
